He had a far-reaching influence on younger designers, and was active until his sudden death in March 2009. Characterized by an urban sense that may be called \u201cJapanesque modernism,\u201d his numerous pieces of commercial advertisement and graphic art show unrestrained conception, bold composition and an outstanding sense of color.
