\u201cOn Encountering Sorrow\u201d is the title of a poem by Qu Yuan, a Chinese poet from the Chu region. It also refers to a group of 25 cantos that he wrote. Dealing with the subject of Xiang Jun and Xiang Fu Ren, who appear in two of the \u201cNine Songs\u201d in the collection, this work, executed with Reika\u2019s fast and inimitably beautiful lines, shows a goddess descending to the shores of Dongting Lake as Qu Yuan eagerly awaits her arrival. A close look at the dragons in the two pictures reveals that they have exactly the same form.
