Extremely talented and fluent in five languages, Odagiri was also known by the Chinese nickname Chin-Jung. If you look closely, you will notice an unnatural revision Yasui made to the figure\u2019s left shoulder. This section looks similar to one of the artist\u2019s sketches in which the model was captured in a more frontal position. When Yasui painted a portrait, he would spend a long time sketching his model from a variety of angles.
