What is this hulking mass with its striking single eye? A close look reveals that the boundary between it and the sky was corrected many times. Overlapping, flowing curved lines and vestiges of scraped-off paint can also be seen. The work may appear to be unfinished, but the artist has signed it on the lower right, indicating that this was the final form he intended.
