Date Painting is an internationally renowned series that Kawara started in 1966. He begins each work on the morning of the date depicted and destroys it if he hasn\u2019t completed the painting by midnight that night. Each work is packed in a box with a newspaper clipping from the place and date that the work was made attached inside it.
