He positioned natural objects such as pieces of wood and stones, and materials such as metal and paper, in spaces in an almost unprocessed state, referred to resulting scenes as \u201csituations\u201d which he presented as works. Here pieces of wood are fitted in a frame, like a puzzle, some of them \u201cprotruding\u201d upward.
