Crafts Gallery, The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo is moving to Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture in October 2020 after quitting its operation in Tokyo on February 28, 2020.
We are most grateful for your support for as long as 42 years.
Our gallery is going to start afresh as National Crafts Museum.

Touch&Talk This special Crafts Gallery program offers two ways to appreciate craft pieces: through touching them yourself and through gallery talks led by our docents. Touch&Talk is held Wednesdays and Saturday, starting at 2 pm, with volunteer docents conducting the program.
Adults Programs include gallery talks, artist talks, lectures, and symposia. Some require registration in advance.
Kids & Families Crafts Gallery for KIDS + ADULTS, Family Touch&Talk (during the summer), and other programs are designed for children and their families to enjoy the museum. Some require registration in advance.
School & Teachers A variety of programs are available, including field trips to the Crafts Gallery, collaborative classes, cooperation on specific subjects, and workshops for teachers. To apply or to discuss your needs, please see this page.
