Things: Rethinking Japanese Photography and Art in 1970s

About
“To rightly position things as things, and myself as myself, in this world. This has to be our expression of our time.” (Nakahira Takuma, Why an Illustrated Botanical Dictionary?, 1973)
In the mid 1970s, “thing” came up as a keyword in Japan’s photography world. Keeping an eye on contemporary art, this show will examine the circumstances surrounding “things” and photography at that time.
