Living with Flowers

About

Japan has four distinctly different seasons, and its people have embraced seasonal flowers and their colors as one of the pleasures of daily life. This exhibition features craft and design works with the motifs of flowers blooming in spring and summer, primarily from the collection of the National Crafts Museum. Since flowers are all around us, each artisan’s techniques and individuality stand out in the works with floral motifs.
We hope that this will be an opportunity to have a look at the relationship between nature around us and crafts and design.
